日本時間の8/14、朝5時半。起きてしばらくしてからexplore.orgの定点カメラを開くと、川にはクマがいなかった。

確かに今は前回の記事で触れたように、サーモンを追って多くのクマが川を離れている時期ではある。

それでも、5つのカメラのどこにもクマがいないことは珍しい。

ここしばらくナクネク湖で潜ってサーモンを獲っていた彼女、609も、最近は滝に姿を見せることが多かった。

左後ろ足は無事に癒えたようだ。

今日の鉛筆画は7/7の彼女の姿。

着彩して仕上げるつもり。

おそらくは水彩で。

As I mentioned in my previous post, this is the time of year when many bears leave the river in search of salmon elsewhere.Even so, it is unusual to see no bears at all on any of the five cameras.

609, who had been diving for salmon in Naknek Lake for some time, had also been appearing at the falls more often recently.

Today’s pencil drawing is of her on July 7.

I plan to finish it with color.
