New Air
She stands and scents the air, a quiet tension of being newly alone.
The First Catch
She was the first bear this season to catch a salmon — on the river cam.

Between the known and the unknown she stands quietly breathing the air of a world yet to come alone for the first time.

A quiet moment by the lake, her silhouette turned slightly as if her thoughts drift inward.
